2. Terms and Conditions
2.1 Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using mePad (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2.2 Description of the Service
mePad provides tools to:
- Create and publish a personal page made of cards (links, text, images, videos, maps, portfolio case studies, contact and newsletter forms, call bookings)
- Sell from your page: digital products, tips, paid calls, and products synced from your Shopify store
- Publish that page at mep.ad/username or connect a custom domain you own
- Collect an audience: contacts and submissions from your forms, and bookings from your scheduler
- Access analytics about your page (views, clicks, revenue, countries, traffic sources)
- Embed your forms on external websites
- Share your page with a QR code or export it as a PDF
- Import content from an existing link in bio page when you sign up
- Invite friends through the referral program
- Subscribe to premium (Pro) features
mePad may modify, improve or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
2.3 User accounts
To use mePad you must create an account with Google sign in or with your email address: there is no password, we email you a one time sign in link and code instead. You must be at least 15 years old, or the digital age of consent in your country, to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your account confidential and for all activity under your account. mePad may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2.4 User content
You may upload and publish text, images, videos, external links, contact information and other content. You retain ownership of your content. By publishing it, you grant mePad a worldwide, non exclusive license to host, display and distribute it solely to operate the Service (for example serving your public page, generating its previews and search listings).
You must not publish content that is:
- Illegal, fraudulent or misleading
- Pornographic or sexually explicit
- Violent, graphic, hateful or discriminatory
- Infringing copyright, trademark or any intellectual property right
- Spam, malware or phishing
mePad reserves the right to remove content, unpublish pages and suspend accounts without notice. Anyone can report inappropriate content at hello@mep.ad.
2.5 Data you collect from your visitors
If you add forms or a booking scheduler to your page, your visitors' submissions (such as name, email, message, chosen time slot) are collected on your behalf and shown in your Audience tab. You are responsible for using this data lawfully: only contact people in ways they would expect, do not sell their data, and honor their deletion requests. mePad processes this data as your service provider (see the Privacy Policy below).
2.6 Plans, payments and subscriptions
mePad offers a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription. Current pricing is displayed on the website and at checkout: Pro is billed 15 US dollars per month, or 144 US dollars per year (12 US dollars per month billed annually). Prices may change; existing subscribers are notified before a change applies to them.
- New accounts start with a free 14 day trial of Pro, with no payment card required. At the end of the trial the account returns to the Free plan automatically: nothing is charged, nothing is deleted, and Pro features are switched off until you subscribe. One trial per account and per email address
- If you subscribe during your trial, your paid subscription starts and is billed immediately
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe; mePad never stores your card number
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; we email you before each renewal with the date and amount
- You can cancel anytime from your settings, in a couple of clicks, as easily as you subscribed; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period
- No refunds are provided once a billing period has started
Right of withdrawal: in accordance with EU consumer law, by subscribing and immediately accessing premium features you expressly request immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you waive your 14 day right of withdrawal. You confirm this by ticking the dedicated box at checkout.
Consumer mediation: if you are a consumer and a dispute with mePad is not resolved by contacting hello@mep.ad, you may refer it free of charge to a consumer mediator. The details of the mediator mePad is registered with will be published on this page.
2.7 What happens when a Pro subscription ends
When a paid Pro subscription ends (cancellation at the end of the period, downgrade or failed payment), Pro only features are removed from your account and from your published page. In particular: map cards and sell cards (digital products, tips) are deleted, call booking settings are removed from your forms (the form itself and its past submissions are kept), your page background color is reset, your custom domain is suspended, and your visible analytics history is limited to the Free plan retention. Export anything you want to keep (for example your audience as CSV) before your paid period ends. This does not apply to the end of the free trial, where nothing is deleted.
2.8 Custom domains
Pro users may connect one custom domain per account. You must own the domain and keep its registration active; DNS configuration is done from your settings. A connected domain is suspended if the paid plan lapses. mePad never registers, transfers or owns your domain.
2.9 Affiliate program
When someone signs up through your referral link and subscribes to a paid plan, you earn a recurring credit equal to 20% of their monthly plan price, applied as a commercial discount on your own subscription invoice, capped at the price of your own plan. The reward exists only as a discount on a paid mePad subscription invoice: no invoice means no reward. mePad never pays out money in any form (no bank transfer, no PayPal, no cash, no gift card), never stores a balance, wallet or credit for any user, and owes nothing to anyone under this program. A user on the free plan earns strictly nothing, whatever their number of referrals; their referrals are counted and start generating credit only if and when they subscribe to a paid plan. Credit from a referral stops permanently if that referral cancels, downgrades or is refunded; a later resubscription does not restore it. Credit above your plan price is not carried over, not refunded and not paid out. Affiliate credit and promotional codes never stack: the most favorable discount applies. Self referrals, fake accounts or automated signups are excluded and may lead to account suspension. mePad may modify or end the program at any time.
2.10 Intellectual property
All platform elements, including the mePad brand, logo, design system, software code and interface, are the exclusive property of mePad. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or exploit the Service without prior written authorization.
2.11 Availability and liability
mePad provides the Service "as is" and works to keep it fast and available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, mePad shall not be liable for loss of revenue, business interruption, loss of data, indirect or consequential damages, or user generated content. Total liability is limited to the amounts you paid to mePad in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
2.12 Termination
mePad may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if fraudulent or abusive behavior is detected, or if legal obligations require it. You may delete your account at any time from your settings; deletion unpublishes your page and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
2.13 Selling on mePad (marketplace)
mePad lets creators sell directly from their page: paid calls, tips and digital products. mePad acts as a technical platform only. The creator is the seller of record for every sale made from their page: the contract of sale is between the creator and the buyer, never with mePad.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. To sell, creators connect a Stripe account from their settings; the money from each sale goes directly to that account and never transits through mePad
- Selling is a feature of the Pro plan. mePad takes no commission and deducts no platform fee on sales: 0 percent. Stripe's own processing fees are charged to the creator by Stripe
- Refunds, chargebacks, buyer support and all applicable taxes on sales (VAT, sales tax or equivalent) are the creator's sole responsibility, handled from their own Stripe dashboard. mePad is not the merchant of record and does not calculate, collect or remit any tax on creators' sales
- Buyers: for any question or refund about a purchase, contact the seller directly. Digital products are delivered automatically by email with a permanent download link
- Shopify products shown on a page are bought on the creator's own Shopify store: that checkout, the order and its delivery are governed by Shopify and the creator, not by mePad
- Prohibited sales include anything illegal, counterfeit or infringing content, stolen or scraped data, adult content involving exploitation, regulated financial products, and any activity on Stripe's prohibited business list
- mePad may remove any paid card or suspend a creator's selling ability at any time and without notice in case of suspected abuse, fraud or violation of these Terms. Report a problematic seller to hello@mep.ad
2.14 Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of French courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
3. Privacy Policy
mePad complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This section explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
3.1 Who is responsible for what
- For your account data and for the analytics of the platform, mePad is the data controller
- For the data your visitors submit through your forms and bookings, you (the page owner) are the controller and mePad acts as processor on your behalf
3.2 Data we collect
- Account data: email address, name or username, Google sign in profile if you use it (mePad has no passwords: sign in uses one time codes)
- Content you upload: text, images, videos, links, page settings
- Custom domain information
- Payment data: processed by Stripe; mePad only stores your subscription status and invoicing references, never your card number
- Page analytics: when someone visits a published page we record technical events (page view, card click, country, referrer, device type). IP addresses are used for security and abuse prevention, are hashed and are not stored in the clear; raw events are kept at most 48 hours before being aggregated into daily statistics
- Visitor submissions: what your visitors send through your forms and bookings (for example name, email, message, chosen time slot), stored for the page owner
- Unfinished form answers: if the page owner turns on this option, answers are saved while the visitor types (the form says so) and deleted after 30 days without activity
- mePad website visits: on mep.ad itself we measure visits, clicks on our buttons, scroll depth and time spent, with the country, device type and referring site. The visitor is identified only by a hashed IP that cannot be reversed, and a first party cookie remembers where a new account came from (see Cookies)
- Error reports: when the app crashes, a technical report is sent to Sentry, without your IP address or form contents
- Purchase data: when a visitor buys from a creator's page (paid call, tip, digital product), we store the sale record for the seller (item, amount, buyer name and email as provided at checkout, delivery link usage). Card details are handled by Stripe only
- Referral data: who invited whom, to grant rewards and prevent fraud
- Support conversations sent to hello@mep.ad
We do not collect sensitive personal data and we do not sell personal data.
3.3 Why we process data
- Provide and operate the Service, including serving public pages (performance of the contract)
- Authenticate users and secure accounts (performance of the contract)
- Process payments and invoices (performance of the contract, legal obligations)
- Show page owners their analytics and audience (performance of the contract)
- Prevent fraud, spam and abuse (legitimate interest)
- Send account related emails such as booking confirmations, reminders and receipts (performance of the contract)
- Send product news and marketing emails, with an unsubscribe link in every email (consent or legitimate interest, opt out anytime)
3.4 Who we share data with
We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service, acting under contract: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting and cookieless website analytics), Cloudflare (security and bot protection), Stripe (payments), Resend (emails), Mapbox (map display), Sentry (error monitoring) and Google (optional sign in). If a creator connects a Shopify store, only public product information is read from it. We may also disclose data when required by law.
3.5 International transfers
Some providers process data outside the European Union. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
3.6 Data retention
- Account data and content: as long as your account is active
- Raw analytics events: at most 48 hours, then aggregated into daily statistics (on the Free plan, the last 15 days of statistics are shown)
- Unfinished form answers: 30 days without activity
- Visitor submissions and contacts: until the page owner deletes them or deletes their account
- Invoicing data: as long as required by law
Deleting your account removes your page and your data, except what we must keep for legal obligations. You can delete your account from your settings or by writing to hello@mep.ad.
3.7 Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Send any request to hello@mep.ad. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).
If you appear in someone else's audience and want your data removed, contact the page owner first, or write to us and we will help.
3.8 Security
There are no passwords to steal: sign in uses one time codes that expire after a few minutes and are never stored in readable form. Access to production data is restricted, and traffic is protected in transit (HTTPS) and by bot protection. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
4. Cookies
mePad only uses first party cookies, set by mep.ad itself:
- Authentication cookies, to keep you signed in to your account
- mp_otp (15 minutes) and mp_claim: complete your email sign in and keep the page address you chose while you sign up
- Security cookies from Cloudflare Turnstile, to protect signups and forms from bots
- mp_ref (60 days): remembers the referral link you clicked, so the person who invited you gets their reward
- mp_attrib (90 days): remembers how you first found mePad (for example a campaign link or a referring site) to measure where new accounts come from. It contains no personal data
- mp_iab_ext (10 minutes): helps open mePad pages in your real browser instead of an in app browser
We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. Visits to published pages are measured without cookies, using the anonymized events described in the Privacy Policy, and the app keeps a few interface preferences (such as chart style) in your browser's local storage. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking the necessary ones may prevent you from signing in.
5. Changes to these terms
mePad may update these Terms and policies at any time. Significant changes are announced by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
6. Contact
For any question about these terms or your data: hello@mep.ad.
